Isaiah 1:2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken... Isaiah 1:10 Hear the Word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the Law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah. |
Who was Isaiah speaking to?
The rulers of Sodom who were the heavenly spirits.
The people of Gomorrah who were the earthly devils.
[ Note: The Word to the HEAVENLIES - The Law to the EARTH ]
Do you realize and understand that when Isaiah spoke these words to Sodom and Gomorrah, God had already destroyed them with fire and brimstone
Therefore it is evident that God had Isaiah speak first to those evil spirits in the Heavenly realm and then to the devils on Earth.
Let's go back to Isaiah's time [see Isaiah chapter 1] when Judah and Jerusalem were full of great iniquity and their great evil had come up before the Lord. God's judgement was about to come upon them because of their rebellion and ingratitude towards him.
| Isaiah 1:4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. |
This sounds just like the conditions of our world and nations today. It is so profound that twice - TWICE - the Lord spoke to the heavens and to the earth regarding this great wickedness in the land.
It is also very significant that both times [ Isaiah 1:2 and 10 ], when Isaiah spoke for the Lord, that he first addressed the evil rulers in the heavenly realm. Only after that did he speak to the earthly realm. [ This truth to the heavenlies first, runs all through the bible. ]
When he prophesied to Sodom we know that he was speaking to the very same spirits that had brought great wickedness to the land in Abraham's time. From Abraham to Isaiah -
